I’m not feeling 100% today but I really want something sweet that doesn’t bust my diet. I don’t have much wiggle room this week coming from my cousins 30th Birthday which was perfectly named the BEST NIGHT EVER, lol, “Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez”. So I saved this recipe link to what sounds like a great quinoa dessert that seems simple enough and I just happen to have all the ingredients in the house #preparationisthekey
As usual, I changed the recipe when I started cooking it.
From the original recipe:
- pumpkin seeds
- maple syrup
- almond milk
- coco dusted almonds
- I cooked the quinoa with orange essence water (water with few pieces of oranges soaking for a while) and 2 pieces of orange with the rind
- extra almond milk to cook the quinoa which will give extra creaminess
- sunflower seeds
- dried cherries
- dash of Cinnamon
This recipe was really good and I give an A-. I tried to make it without the maple syrup but it was bland so I added a dash of it and power flavor explosion in my mouth. I can really see this recipe as a part of my regular routine for a great low calorie dessert. Its made with a bunch of ingredients that are always in my cabinet and it only took about 10 min to cook. Once I figure out some measurements for my own version I will post a recipe.
Next time options:
- mash up a ripe banana
